Västerås ibs u was one of 84 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Katrineholm Innebandy Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Pojkar 03.

In addition to Västerås ibs u, 11 other teams played in Pojkar 03. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Västerås ibs u could be found in Group B together with Huddinge IBS, Älta IF 1 and Ledberg IBF 2.

Västerås ibs u continued to Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group B. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against FBI Tullinge with 1-4. In the Final, FBI Tullinge won over Kristinehamns IBF and became the winner of Slutspel in Pojkar 03.

Västerås ibs u also participated in Pojkar 03 during Katrineholm Innebandy Cup 2016. They won Slutspel, after beating Karlskoga IBF in the final with 4-3.
