In addition to Ekbackskyrkans IBK, 11 other teams played in Pojkar 02. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Ekbackskyrkans IBK could be found in Group C together with Vallentuna IBK, Mälarhöjden and KFUM Norrköping P02.
Ekbackskyrkans IBK continued to Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group C. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Björklinge BK with 1-9. In the Final, KFUM Norrköping P02 won over Flens IBF and became the winner of Slutspel in Pojkar 02. Ekbackskyrkans IBK also participated in Pojkar 02 during Katrineholm Innebandy Cup 2016.
