In addition to Älta IF, 15 other teams played in Pojkar 09. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Älta IF could be found in Group A together with Rosersberg Arlanda RA19, Mesta IBK and Skoghalls IBK Utveckling.

Älta IF continued to Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to 3-4, but lost it against Huddinge IBS with 0-4. In the Final, Rimforsa IF won over Huddinge IBS and became the winner of Slutspel in Pojkar 09.

Älta IF also participated in Pojkar 09 during Katrineholm Innebandy Cup 2022. They reached the 1/4 Final in P09 Slutspel, but lost it against Bergs IK with 1-7.
